Description

The Berwicks of Kettle compiled by Andrew Campbell

The Berwick family of Kettle in the Kingdom of Fife can be positively traced back to Andrew Berwick (abt 1768-1832), a linen handloom weaver at the Bridge-end of Holekettle, now called Kingskettle. He came from Boghall, in the vicinity of Kettle. He and his family were secessionists frrom the Church of Scotland (the Berwicks worshiped at the UP Church in Kettle), and so his birth has not been recorded in the Church of Scotland OPR records. This has presented great problems in tracing back further.

This book investigates two possible lines. The book (90 pages) contains stories, photographs, records and family history.
