The 29th Conference of the Scottish Association of Family History Societies will be hosted by the Fife Family History Society on the theme of "Was Your Ancestor a Convict?" at The Rothes Halls, Glenrothes, Fife, on Saturday 21st April 2018. Outing – This has been cancelled.

Cancelled through lack of interest. This year's outing will be to Historic Environment Scotland premises in Edinburgh on the 8th of May. If you are interested in coming on this visit can you please email our Secretary and let her know. The University of St Andrews are involved in the Archives Revealed project “Hidden Burgh: restoring Cupar’s place at the heart of Fife”.  It is being financed largely by the Archives Revealed funding programme from The National Archives and the Pilgrim Trust, and will last for one year. The University holds the records for the Cupar Burgh from 1364 to 1975 and the objective is to have them fully catalogued so that they are accessible to everyone.  Part of the project…
